Présentation
Les projets développés dans mon groupe de recherche sont centrés autour de maladies neuromusculaires rares, dues à des mutations génétiques dans des gènes codant des protéines de l’enveloppe nucléaire. En particulier nous nous intéressons aux lamines A/C et leur partenaires responsables des dystrophies musculaires d’Emery-Dreifuss (EDMD) et de formes de dystrophies musculaires congénitale (L-CMD) ou encore de dystrophie musculaire des ceintures (LGMD). Nous sommes impliqués dans des travaux de recherche visant à valider la pathogénicité de nouveaux variants génétiques identifiés dans le cadre du processus diagnostique des patients, notamment grâce aux techniques de séquençage haut débit (NGS). Nous utilisons des modèles cellulaires issus de patients (cultures de fibroblastes issus de biopsies cutanées) ainsi que des modèles animaux que nous avons développés (modèles murins) afin de pouvoir mieux comprendre les mécanismes pathologiques en jeu et tester l’efficacité de thérapies.
