Voies de signalisation & muscles striés

Les muscles striés comptent pour à peu près 40% du poids total du corps, contiennent 50 à 75% des protéines totales du corps et contribuent significativement à de multiples fonctions corporelles. Il existe deux types de muscles striés : les muscles squelettiques et le muscle cardiaque. Ils partagent une architecture commune caractérisée par un arrangement très particulier et bien décrit des cellules musculaires et des tissus conjonctifs associés.

Mon groupe s’intéresse plus particulièrement à étudier les mécanismes molécules et cellulaires en jeu dans les cardiomyopathies associées aux dystrophies musculaires. Il apparaît important et nécessaire d’accroître nos connaissances sur ces atteintes cardiaques pour dévoiler les mécanismes cellulaires/moléculaires permettant de cibler de futures approches thérapeutiques. Nous étudions des modèles in vitro et in vivo ces pathologies et nous développons des thérapies pharmacologiques nouvelles basées sur nos découvertes.
